Coronado Brewing Company announced recently that they will be opening a new location about a block from the ocean in Imperial Beach, California. The craft beer maker has signed a 25 year lease for a building that they will remodel at 875 Seacoast Drive, with the new brew pub to open in the spring of 2014.
Once remodeled, the new Coronado Island brewpub will serve the same dishes that Coronado Island Brewing’s original location has become known for, and will have 24 beers on tap including their flagship craft beers Islander IPA and Mermaid’s Red. The brewery owners are even are planning on naming some of their new beers for the Imperial Beach area.
While the new location will be serving up Coronado’s signature beers and food, they will not be brewing onsite, as the location is too small to serve as both a production brewery and brewpub. All beer production will remain at the original Coronado Island location, and at their 30-barrel brewhouse production facility located in San Diego.
